Planning
Collaboration mode
Let eligible guests help manage selected planning tools without changing their event role.
Turn on only the help you need
In event settings, collaboration mode provides separate controls for sign-up sheets, shared checklists, and polls. You can enable one tool without opening the others.
Keep roles unchanged
Collaboration mode does not promote a guest to Organizer or Host. It grants management access only to the planning tools you enable and does not allow event editing, role changes, member removal, cancellation, or deletion.
Require an RSVP first
A registered guest can collaborate after responding Going or Maybe. A Pending invitee is prompted to RSVP before editing collaborative planning tools, and a Declined guest does not receive collaborative management access.
Collaborate on sign-ups and checklists
When enabled, eligible guests can create or edit sign-up work and manage shared checklist items. Personal checklists remain separate from shared event planning.
Collaborate on polls
When poll collaboration is enabled, eligible guests can create, edit, and delete event polls. Polls are controlled by event permissions and do not require Hostly Pro.
