Event reminders
Set useful prompts before an event or around planning work that still needs attention.
Choose default timing
Set your preferred reminder timing in Settings so eligible events begin with a useful baseline. Pick a time that gives you enough notice without duplicating alerts from your calendar.
Adjust one event
Open a specific event's reminder controls when that plan needs different notice. A travel-heavy event may need an earlier prompt than a casual plan nearby.
Remember planning work
Event reminders can help you return to preparation that is still outstanding, such as an unclaimed item or unfinished checklist task. The event remains the place to see the current state of that work.
Check notification permission
Reminders depend on Hostly being allowed to notify your device. If expected reminders do not arrive, review both Hostly's notification preferences and the operating system permission.
Avoid duplicate alerts
A connected calendar may also notify you about the same event. Adjust either the Hostly reminder or calendar alert if you only want one prompt.
