Talk inside the event
Event chat keeps questions, updates, and quick coordination beside the plan they affect. Participants with access can follow the conversation without joining a separate thread in another app.
Know who can participate
Chat access follows the event's people and permission rules. Removing someone from an event or changing their access can also change their ability to participate in its conversation.
React to a message
Use reactions for lightweight acknowledgement, agreement, or a quick vote that does not need a formal poll. This reduces repeated replies while still showing that the group has seen an update.
Pin important information
Pin supported messages that people will need again, such as an arrival instruction or last-minute change. Pins should highlight durable information rather than every active conversation.
Control chat noise
Use the event or chat notification control when a busy conversation creates too many alerts. Muting changes how you are notified; it does not remove the conversation or your event access.
