Planning

Polls

Ask event participants to choose options without moving the decision into a separate group chat.

Ask inside the event

Create a poll from the event so the question, eligible participants, and result stay attached to the plan. Use a focused question and options that lead to a decision the group can act on.

Choose a voting style

Use a single choice for one clear winner, multiple choice when several options can work, or ranked preferences when the order matters. The available setup explains how participants will be able to vote.

Set the voting window

Give participants enough time to respond, then use the supported duration or closing control when a decision has a deadline. Closing a poll preserves the result without continuing to collect changes.

Review results

Open the poll to see the current outcome and, where available, voter detail. Consider the response count as well as the leading option before treating the result as representative of the group.

Turn the answer into a plan

Once the decision is clear, update the event details, checklist, or sign-up sheet that depends on it. Keeping the result in the event makes it easier for late arrivals to understand why the plan changed.
